Court Orders and final judgments that are
given at the end of a trial are not necessarily the final determination in the case.
Many judgments are modified, remanded, reversed, or
overturned by Appellate Courts.
Appellate law is a specialized area of law that requires unique expertise. Effective appellate advocacy requires skills unlike those required
in trial law. This type of law favors attorneys with particular strengths such as legal analysis and brief writing and requires skilled and
effective written and oral communication. VLJ practices appellate law with dedication, efficiency and professionalism, and will brief and argue
your appeal before State, Federal and Supreme Courts.
Working closely with trial counsel and clients allows us to identify the arguments most likely to succeed on appeal, and present them in the most
skilled and effective manner.
